THE TALK: CRAVEN ON HOMER

Peter Craven, Australia’s best-loved cultural commentator, led with a full page article in The Australian and a sell-out talk at Old Treasury.  Craven’s stunning final line: “The Iliad is quite simply the best long poem and the best drama and the best novel ever written”.

THE PLAY: THE RAGE OF ACHILLES

Our Australian premiere played to capacity houses! Audiences travelled from as far afield as Sydney, Adelaide, Tasmania and locally, Frankston, Kyneton, Bendigo and Belgrave. Congratulations to our brilliant creatives! THE MUSIC: Ancient Soundscapes 
Dr Ros Bandt fascinated music lovers with her ancient Homeric soundscape techniques, through her hypnotic harp playing.

HOMER FOR KIDS
Jack Murray, RMIT architecture student and classics tragic, read the Cyclops story from the Percy Jackson books, followed by Homer’s original story.  Quiz and prizes delighted grandparents, parents and kids at the Readings Carlton!
